Geometrical multiscale for vascular network

To assess an estimation of coagulation in liver due to medical treatment, a multiscale prediction of liver perfusion play a key role. The aim of intership is to investigate recent 3D-1D modeling for modeling hepatic perfusion and develop a multiphysics coupling with medical treatment.

Keywords: Geometrical multiscale; finite elements; getfem++; fenics;

  • The project is mainly focus application of geometrical 3D-1D model, recently introduced in [1] and implemented in FEniCS/getFem++ for clinical case of liver. The challenges is to extend the model considering the perfusion and interaction with ablation treatment. 1 Derivation and analysis of coupled PDEs on manifolds with high dimensionality gap arising from topological model reduction, Laurino, Zunino https://doi.org/10.1051/m2an/2019042 2019.
