In collaboration with our clinical partners, this project aims to develop a novel highly efficient multifunctional nanoparticle system for the diagnosis and therapy of cancerous tissue. In a first part the system based on a plasmonic particle for thermal therapy and a magnetic particle for magnetic resonance imaging will be designed and experimentally prepared. In a second phase, the prepared material will be closely investigated with respect to its material properties and application efficiency via state-of-the-art methods. Finally, the biocompatibility and cell interaction of the particles will be analysed in vitro.
