Your project will include:
• Research on the emerging field of immuno-metabolism of T cells and epithelial cells in respiratory and allergic diseases
• Application of high throughput -omics methods, coupled with gene editing, multi-color flow
cytometry and confocal microscopy
• Performing in vitro and preclinical in vivo models to investigate metabolic reprogramming of
T cells and epithelial cells upon recognition, processing and responding to allergen and virus
• Involvement in human clinical studies, investigating the impact of metabolic reprogramming
in the endotype of the disease and response to treatment
• Application of coding and advanced bioinformatic tools for big data analysis
• Access to the extensive, modern in-house infrastructure of SIAF, as well as of UZH and ETH and the team of international expert collaborators

Your profile
• Master degree in Life Sciences (Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering
or related fields) or medical doctor degree
• Practical experience in immunological or molecular biology techniques is preferred
• Basic experience in data analysis and knowledge of R is advantageous
• A working level of spoken and written English
• Independent, structured and accurate way of working
• Ability to work and communicate well within a team, complete project objectives and meet deadlines
