Internship - Software Engineer
We are seeking an intern for designing and implementing a visual interface for a software-framework tailored towards the analysis of clinical data using state-of-the-art machine learning and AI approaches.
We have recently won the UZH Digital Entrepreneurship Grant which allows us to offer this paid intern position for the development of our envisioned visual interface and linked software-framework used for clinical research.
**You are a great candidate if**
- You have experience with the programming language Python
- You have experience with UI/UX and/or web development (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD)
- You have a good knowledge of Python modules (e.g., numpy, pandas, featuretools) extensively used in data analysis
- You are passionate about programming, and you are used to agile working methods
- You can work independently and have an efficient communication
- You are creative, curious, and open to new challenges and opportunities
- You can quickly learn new technologies in an unsupervised environment
- Any experience with MLOps tools is a plus (e.g., MLflow)

**Your responsibilities**
- Design a demo interface/mockup for the visual interface
- Support of the integration of MLflow – open-source Python frameworks - into the existing codebase
- Contribution to the development of software interfaces for data ingestion, data pre-processing, machine learning, visualization, and report generation.
- Contribution to the implementation of a standardized unit and pipeline tests using a publicly available clinical dataset
- Documentation of the software development
