Open Source Python Package (mHealth)
We aim to detect critical health states based on smartwatch data during driving or in the field. For this purpose, we built an open-source python package for time series data to obtain features for machine learning models.
Keywords: Data Science; Computer Science; Python; Machine Learning; Time Series; mHealth
At the Bosch Internet of Things Lab (a cooperation of ETH Zurich, University of St. Gallen and Bosch), we aim to detect critical health states based on smartwatch data during driving or in the field. For this purpose, we record and analyze several data streams (e.g., physiological and accelerometer data).
We built a preprocessing pipeline for time series data to obtain features for machine learning models. This pipeline is currently built into a python package, which will be made open source to support researchers world-wide to process their smartwatch-based data in a structured way. Based on this pipeline several machine learning models can be applied.
We offer you a unique setting to contribute to an open source python package, which allows you to apply your skills in a high relevant and well-structured Master thesis or semester project that should help keeping you on track where you need it and leave room for your own creativity where you want it.
