Develop software for wearable technologies
The aim of this project is to develop mobile software to communicate with our already developed textile-based wearable technology and process sensor data for movement monitoring.
Movement monitoring is a rapidly growing field with many applications in healthcare and fitness. Current methods for activity monitoring mostly use camera-based motion tracking or inertial measurement unit-based systems that are limited in their measurement space or are obtrusive to the activities of the user. Smart clothing offers a solution that makes monitoring of biomechanics during individual and team sports possible in different conditions.
We develop wearable technologies for unobtrusive monitoring of movement based on textile-based sensors. Signals from these sensors are acquired using our portable data acquisition system that communicates data over wireless methods. This project aims to design, develop, and test the software for communication, user interface, data recording, and data visualization from our wearable technology. This project will offer valuable experience in software development, mobile application development, cutting-edge wearable technologies, and data analysis.
**Your Profile**
- Background in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Prior experience with software development and data processing (mobile application development, machine learning, data visualization, or similar)
- Independent worker with critical thinking and problem solving skills
