Software Engineering of Data Visualizer in Neonatal Oxygenation Monitoring
Design of the UML-model and implementation of the front end for visualization of vital and non-vital parameters in real-time manner.
Keywords: Front End Medical Devices, Software Engineering, Data Visualization
Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) allows non-invasive measurements of tissue oxygenation in humans e.g. of the cerebral oxygenation in neonates. The oxygenation data delivered by our in-house built sensor needs to be appropriately visualized in real-time. Also shall the user be able to interact with the data by e.g. looking back in time, setting markers or choosing the ranges of interest. Hence the aim is to create software that will allow the user to interact with the data in intuitive and productive manner. The software itself shall be written in a proper and readable manner using the methods of software engineering.

The existing prototype of the user interface is to be analyzed (help is available by the assistant), refactored and improved to provide for more genericity and better readability of the code.
