Sensing mechanism of metal nitrides
Metal nitrides, with better selectivities and lower operating temperatures than metal oxides, show promise for hazardous gas monitoring and leakage detection. However, their sensing mechanisms are unexplored. This project aims to clarify these mechanisms by synthesizing and characterizing metal nitride nanoparticles and oxides, using FTIR spectroscopy to analyze surface interactions in specific environments.
