Development of Motor-Cognitive Assessments for Older Adults
Exergames are an effective training method to improve physical and cognitive performance in older adults. However, effects of exergames are difficult to be evaluated by standardized assessment methods. Therefore, ecologically valid assessment tools must be developed.
Keywords: exergames, older adults, motor-cognitive, assessment, balance, coordination, leg strength, attention, executive functions, reliability, validity, reaction time, postural control, feasibility
The project is a collaboration between the research group of Prof. Eling D. de Bruin (Motor Control & Learning) and the company Dividat, which developed the Senso.
