Digital Twinning of Hot Rolling
Performing a Digital Twinning simulation in high performance platform of industrial test case is a key skill for computational engineering.
Keywords: High performance; digital twinning; MOOSE; C++
The thesis is in collaboration with Institute of Metal Forming (RWTH). The candidate have to develop a multiApp platform based on MOOSE, a library developed by Idaho National Laboratory (USA) and used in several industrial projects (for instance in metal additive manufacturing).
The simulation will then compared with in-House Abaqus framework. The main ingredient of the thesis is devoted to multiscale and multiPhysics integration using the already developed physics of MOOSE (connecting microscale simulation to macroscale solver).
