Intern: Modelling and parameterization of waste incineration plant including carbon capture and storage (paid position)
We are looking for an intern to strengthen our energy hub modelling team on modelling and parameteriza-tion of waste incineration plants including carbon capture and storage.
Empa is the research institute for materials science and technology of the ETH Domain and conducts cutting-edge research for the benefit of industry and the well-being of society. The Urban Energy Systems Laboratory develops methods and tools to model, design, and assess the building and urban systems with a focus on energy hubs, multi-energy grids, decarbonization, and integration of renewable energy as well as storage systems.
We are looking for an intern to strengthen our energy hub modelling team on modelling and parameterization of waste incineration plants including carbon capture and storage. As such energy simulations are data-intensive, you would be involved in defining and setting up data structures for data at industrial sites and utili-ty grids.
Domain-specific knowledge in energy system simulation is a plus. The candidate should be proficient in Eng-lish; basic comprehension and oral skills in German are desirable. We are offering a multi-faceted and challenging position in a modern research environment with excellent infrastructure. This research will be in col-laboration with GEVAG and IBC.
