Validation of a Scapula Orthosis for Exoskeletons and Exosuits
Help us to validate our newly developed scapula orthosis as a standalone device and with our exoskeleton and exosuit. We are looking for a motivated Master student with experience in study preparation, data acquisition and/or data analysis.
Scapular winging is a widespread problem in the shoulders of people with muscular weakness. It restricts the range of motion of patients and limits the usability of therapy robots. As an instantaneous treatment of scapular winging, we have developed a textile-based orthosis that supports the movement of the scapula during arm elevation. The orthosis can be used as a standalone assistive device, or in combination with an exoskeleton or exosuit.

You will validate the functionality of the scapula orthosis as a standalone device and in combination with our exoskeleton – the ANYexo – and our exosuit – the Myoshirt. With our support, you will develop a study protocol, prepare the study, recruit unimpaired participants and patients, perform the data acquisition and data analysis.
