Summary: There is a growing availability of high resolution spatial datasets on agri-environmental outcomes. Combined with recent advances in econometrics, these open up a large space of possible research in agricultural economics. At the same time, information on many agri-environmental outcomes is not available at the resolution of the datasets, requiring extrapolation and statistical down-scaling at best, and omission at worst. The goal of this thesis is to critically assess available data and discuss what kind of data is most critically missing at the moment.
Methods: A review of datasets and applications, optionally: mapping in GIS software, basic descriptive statistics. An understanding of econometric techniques is an appreciated plus.
Expected Results: A discussion of potential and limitations of currently available spatial data.
Level: Bachelor Thesis
