Sensor Integration in Hydraulic AM Valve
Investigation of a position measurement concept for the spool of a hydraulic valve
Keywords: Additive Manufacturing,
Product Development,
Hall Sensor,
Arduino
Wandfluh is a swiss company which develops high quality solutions for hydraulic applications. In cooperation with Inspire Wandfluh is evaluating the benefits of additive manufacturing (AM) for their systems by developing an AM hydraulic valve. This offers many opportunities while also leading to new challenges.
One goal of the project is to implement a hall sensor into the valve to determine the position of the spool. The hall sensor should ideally determine the position without any required changes to the spool geometry.
