Internship in Software Engineering

  • Disney Research, Zurich is offering an internship position in its Software Engineering Group (2-3 months, 100%). We are mainly looking for someone to assist us in developing an internal web-based project management tool using Python, but may have additional engineering tasks related to implementing our research results as plugins to third-party software and production pipelines (Maya, Nuke, OpenFX, RenderMan, ...). Required Knowledge and Skills: - Solid Python programming skills - Web development knowledge (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Javascript) - Basic database knowledge (SQL) Other Desired Skills: - Experience in using the Django web framework - Excellent C++ programming skills - Ability to write high-quality code - Experience in using the Qt application framework and the Boost C++ libraries - Experience in using various graphics and computer vision libraries (OpenCV, OpenGL, OpenCL, CUDA) - Good understanding of computer graphics, computer vision and media technology - Knowledge of linear algebra, scientific computing and numerical methods
