Lagrangian Simulations of Fuel Injection
LES simulation of fuel injection and mixture formation processes relevant for internal combustion engines.
Keywords: LES Simulations, Lagrangian Method, Multicomponent Evaporation, Spray Formation, Spray-Wall Interaction, Wall Film Formation, Droplet Collision, high performance computing (HPC)
Within this study, LES simulations of fuel injection and mixture formation processes are performed. There are different topics available which could be investigated, like droplet collisions, spray-wall interaction, wall film formation or multicomponent evaporation processes. In order to perform the LES simulations, the in-house code of the Institute for Combustion Technology is used.
