Home-based wound self-documentation with mobile app
We have developed an mHealth tool aiming for patients’ self-documentation of their own wounds without supervision. In this study, we will test the mHealth tool with real users (patients with systemic sclerosis).
Keywords: Digital ulcers, patient self-assessment, non-invasive imaging, mobile health, mobile app
Project background:
Periodic wound measurement and documentation
are important to monitor wound progression and
healing. Home-based wound documentation
would enable patients to document their wounds
remotely.
We have developed an mHealth tool aiming for
patients’ self-documentation of their own wounds
on fingertips without supervision.
In collaboration with the Department of
Rheumatology at University Hospital Zürich, we
are running a study. In this study, we will test the
mHealth tool with real users (patients with
systemic sclerosis).
**We offer:**
- An internship in a study applying novel
technologies
- Work in the multi-disciplinary environment among patients, doctors and engineers
**Your internship:**
You will be involved in the conduction of the study:
- Study preparation
- Train patients to use the mHealth tools
- Basic data analysis
**Requirements:**
Your background is in health sciences, medical, biology, or related fields. You should have good
