Teaching assistant position Labview programming & sensor integration
We are currently looking for a teaching assistant with experience in Labview programming to implement new functions and improve the control and input-output inter-face of a manufacturing machine
We are currently looking for a teaching assistant with experience in Labview programming to implement new functions and improve the control and input-output inter-face of a manufacturing line. This includes the implemen-tation of new sensors, their calibration and integration into the data acquisition system as well as the upgrade of the motor control system. The Labview interface runs on a windows PC, processing input/output data provided by a NI-DAQ and communicating with an Arduino controlled drive unit.
Tasks:
-Integrate and calibrate new sensors into Labview inter-face
-Improve usability and clean up Labview Code
-Improve Arduino Code for motor speed regulation
-Improve data acquisition and saving features
Requirements:
-currently enrolled as a student at ETH
-experience in Labview programming, ideally with TI DAQ units
-basic experience in Arduino programming
-basic experience in stepper control
-basic knowledge of electrical circuits
Begin/End:
-Start as soon as possible, at the latest end of November 2018
-Until end of December, option of extension until February 2019 or longer, depending on scope of work
-Salary: 28 CHF/h
-max. 15 h/week during the semester
