Internships and/or master thesis in emotion research

Our team at the Department of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine of the University Hospital Zurich is offering a research internship and/or master thesis.

Keywords: emotion research, trauma research, neuroscience, psychology

  • The position offers the opportunity to be part of several research projects and the possibility to conduct a master’s thesis within these projects. While the majority of the projects are in the field of experimental emotion research, one project can be classified as experimental trauma research. Behavioural data are combined with peripheral-physiological measurements (facial EMG, ECG, EDA) and survey data. Participants are healthy individuals. The projects are in different stages of implementation. Thus, the internship offers a broad insight into everyday research, as it entails a variety of tasks. For example, participant recruitment, telephone screening for inclusion and exclusion criteria, data collection, and data processing. Details can be discussed at the interview. Ideal applicants would be Master students with previous experience in the field of research, although motivated applicants with good interpersonal skills, without research experience and/or Bachelor's degree, are welcome. Start of internship, workload and duration can be arranged on individual basis. We kindly ask interested applicants to send their curriculum vitae and a short cover letter (incl. details of motivation and previous experience) to Dr Tanja Wingenbach. We look forward to receive your application and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact.
