Learning Motion from Blur
The goal of the project is to implement a Machine Learning algorithm that can recover the camera motion from a single blurry image.
When the camera moves fast, the images appear blurry. The effect of motion blur is in general undesired for vision algorithms but also encodes the motion information. Can we extract the motion information by using Machine Learning algorithms? This would help visual odometry to deal with fast motion. For example, when a robot moves too fast, it can switch to Machine Learning when standard visual odometry fails.
