Research Software Engineer, paid internship, 80-100%, fixed-term, Zurich (flexible)
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive research software engineer to advance the impact of open-source software for musculoskeletal image analysis
Keywords: research software engineering, open-source code, medical imaging
You will advance the impact of open-source software for musculoskeletal image analysis by contributing to the exciting evolution of pyKNEEr ( https://github.com/sbonaretti/pyKNEEr )–an open-source Python package for the analysis of magnetic resonance images of the knee–into a deployable, robust, easy to use, open-source package. While closely working with bioengineers and computer scientists, you will have the opportunity to introduce innovative solutions, refine existing features, and support the integration of novel code. You will manage tasks from conceptualization and coding to debugging, testing, and deployment. You will implement best practice for open-source code, including accurate documentation to enable long term maintenance and sustainability of the project.
