Student Laboratory Assistant / HiWi, BASEL
The Computational Biology group (Prof Dagmar Iber) of the Department for Biosystems Science and Engineering (ETHZ) located in Basel is looking for a motivated student (Bachelor / Master) to assist in laboratory tasks. The position offers flexible working hours with a negotiable workload of 5 – 10 h

Your responsibilities as laboratory assistant are focused on supporting and conducting routine experiments and laboratory management:
• Genotyping of mouse colonies using PCR, gel electrophoresis
• Preparing lab consumables (solutions / reagents)
• Optional: Tissue clearing and whole-mount immunostainings
You would get trained on these methods by a PhD student, however previous wet-lab experience (as part of your studies or during previous employments or internships) is required.
Your profile
• Registered student at the Bachelor or Master level in Biology, Biotechnology or related fields
• reliable, motivated and able to work accurately, independently and in a well-structured manner
