3D printed camera support systems for protected historic interiors (together with Tonhalle Zurich)
This project is part of a collaboration with the Tonhalle Zurich, one of the leading orchestra halls in Switzerland. The goal of this project is to develop a novel support solution that can be attached to the historic interior without damaging it. You will have the opportunity to ideate different design concepts and quickly prototype them using our 3D printers.
Keywords: Additive Manufacturing, product development, prototyping, 3D scanning
This project is part of a collaboration with the Tonhalle Zurich, one of the leading orchestra halls in Switzerland. Inaugurated in 1895, most of its interior is protected as a historic landmark. This represents a major challenge because recording equipment such as cameras, lights or microphones can only hardly be mounted. The goal of this project is to develop a novel support solution that can be attached to the historic interior without damaging it.

In this project, you will develop, build and test a 3D printed camera support system for historic interiors. Using 3D scanning, you will create a three-dimensional model of potential mounting positions at the Tonhalle. You will have the opportunity to ideate different design concepts and quickly prototype them using our 3D printers. Throughout the project, you will able to directly interact with the technicians of Tonhalle Zurich to acquire feedback and improve your solution.
