Electrodeposition of FePt nano-rod or helix for bio-safe microrobot
The student would need to use electrodeposition to fabricate bio-compatible FePt nano-rod or nano-helix for the actuation of bio-degradable microrobots.

No prerequisites. I will give close supervision at the beginning of the project to make sure you can master the electrodeposition technique. The student would need to work at chemical lab for most of the work.
After the synthesis of FePt nano-rod or nano-helix, they will be mixed into microrobots for locomotion and drug delivery experiments.
The project is suitable for a semester thesis or bachelor thesis.
