Can current crime patterns be reproduced in a virtual environment? Can the simulation be used to predict crime and to test how changes in the environment affect crime?
You will build an Agent-based model to simulate crime in Switzerland using novel data sources (e.g. from location-based social networks) as proxies for human activity. You will collect spatio-temporal data and implement an ABM. Your work will build upon previous work at our chair and will contribute to safety in Switzerland.
You need: python and computer science skills!
