Development of a Graphical User Interface for ZurichMOVE IMU sensors
ZurichMOVE is a wearable IMU sensor, developed to monitor movement quality in healthcare sector. The overarching vision of ZurichMOVE is to transform clinical diagnostics in neuromotor disorders by providing objective, patient-centred functional assessments of movement quality and quantity.
Keywords: IMU sensor, Movement quality, patient monitoring, GUI, Biomechanics, Gait
The ZurichMOVE sensors are increasing used to study movement disorders and monitor gait quality in research settings.
While the development of the hardware part is completed, the software part isn't jet so user-friendly. To make sure these sensors can be used within the clinical setting, codes have to be further optimized and packed into a GUI.
Currently codes are matlab based but vision would be to move to opensource such as R or Python using Jupiter notebooks.
