Micro-stents for fetal urinary tract obstruction
In this project students will be working on fabricating micro-stents for fetal urinary obstruction. The project will be carried out in tight collaboration with the Bellinzona Hospital.
- Shape Memory Polymers will be investigated as constitutive materials
- Laser-based 3D-printing technologies will be used as fabrication methods
- Acoustic/magnetic propelling strategies will be proposed to manipulate the stent inside the womb
