Towards Data Markets with Bitcoin
We are all constantly generating data. This data contains a lot of information and therefore value but it is captured almost exclusively by the big companies of our era: Google, Facebook and Apple. This is because we are lacking a transparent market for data.

With Bitcoin, and cryptocurrencies in general, we finally have a native economic layer for the Internet. This allows to build privacy-preserving digital market places without middlemen and permits micropayments in the sub-cent domain. These are the ideal prerequisites to establish transparent and open data markets where people as well as machines can take part.
The interdisciplinary character of this projects between economics and computer science allows a variety of topics for bachelor or master theses.
