Materials and Device Engineering Group (Wood)Open OpportunitiesLithium-rich NMC (Ni, Mn, Co) cathode materials are attractive due to their high specific capacity. The charge-discharge profile of lithium-rich cathode materials is different from that of the stoichiometric layered cathode materials such as NMC 111 due to their different lithium intercalation/deintercalation dynamics. Understanding the lithium dynamics with respect to their overall metal composition is critical for its further development. This project will focus on the material and electrochemical characterization of a series of Li-rich cathode materials. This project will take place at materials and device engineering group (MADE) at ETH Zurich. - Composite Materials, Electrochemistry
