Professors Fabrizio Gilardi and Karsten Donnay from the University of Zurich are seeking a Student Assistant for a project on improving online public discourse, starting November 1, 2024 (or upon agreement). This SNSF-funded project, in collaboration with UCL and ETH Zurich, aims to develop computational methods for detecting harmful and constructive content online, using machine learning and NLP tools. The assistant will support tasks like deploying classifiers and integrating them into existing systems. The position is ideal for senior BA/MA computer science students with relevant technical skills.
